Эти и многие другие примеры демонстрируют, что, покупая врачей и редакторов, промышленность превратила медицинскую науку из полезной для общества отрасли, целью которой является улучшение здоровья людей, в товар, первостепенная цель которого – максимальная прибыль28. К сожалению, хотя существуют замечательные исключения, большинство наших медицинских журналов вносят существенный вклад в коррупцию науки.
